Who we are
PrintCard is run by Bill Horsman, trading as Further Logical Cobwebs. Questions about your data, or requests to see it: hello@printcard.app.
Your pictures
The card is made in your browser. Its pictures stay on your device until you save the card to your cards. Saving it sends us the card: its words and layout, its pictures, a small picture of its front, and the file it is printed from.
Saved, the card is kept in your account, with its pictures, so you can order it, and order it again. Our printer, who print and post it, are sent the print file and the address it goes to when you order. Your cart, the cards you mean to order and how many, is kept with your account until you order them.
How long we keep a card
A card you have printed stays in your cards until you delete it. A card you have saved but never printed is kept for a year after you saved it, unless you delete it first. A card you have printed and then deleted is kept for a year after you last ordered it, for the record of that order. After that its pictures are deleted, and it can no longer be ordered.
A card that is never ordered nor saved is a draft from before cards were saved, and is kept for 30 days, then deleted.
The record of each order stays, for our accounts: what was ordered, when, and what it cost. A year after an order, we forget the address it was posted to, and its tracking number.
We keep a note of each email we send you about your payments and orders: what it was about, when it went, and the address it went to, but not what it said. Deleting your account takes your address off those notes too.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, from your account. You are signed out, and cannot sign in to it again. For 30 days, we can restore it if you change your mind: email us. After that it is deleted for good, with your address and every picture from your cards.
We keep only what our accounts need: the date and amounts of each order and payment, and the references Stripe and our printer gave them. Your email address, and the names and addresses your orders went to, are deleted.
Stripe, who take card payments and bank transfers, and our printer keep their own records of the payments and orders they handled, as the law requires of them.
Asking us not to email you
If you are sent sign-in emails you did not ask for, or want no more email from us, email hello@printcard.app. We lock your address: we send it nothing more, and nobody can sign in or make an account with it. To keep that promise without keeping your address, we keep a fingerprint of it, a hash, which tells us the address if it is given to us again but cannot be turned back into it. We keep that, and why it was locked, for as long as it is locked, even after an account is deleted. Ask us, and we unlock it.
